Questions & Answers for Marineland Replacement Aquarium Strip Lights
I am looking for complete, light only for an Eclipse 2 Aquarium Hood
I have an aquarium approx 12" x 24" x 30 " or so deep. Looks like it is an Eclipse 2 Aquarium Hood system, with a 2-18", 15 watt flourescent light, filter, pump and bio wheel. I need to replace the complete light assembly. The label on the light says MARINELAND, DOUBLE LAMP for PFE 2.
Unfortunately, that lamp base assembly has been discontinued for a number of years. It is no longer available. You can either cut the cord and install a Hidden LED under the front frame of the tank or replace the entire Eclipse system with a glass canopy, strip light, and new filter system.
I purchased a marine land 01135 a few months ago from Petsmart . The blue LED lights are not working properly they come on than shut off. I do not have the receipt. How can we replace the bulbs or troubleshoot. The light was costly
The number you provided is a lot code. That tells me the unit is over a year old, which technically is out of warranty, if you do not have a receipt. I would recommend calling in or emailing direct with the length of the light and model name or if you don't have the model name, the number of white lights vs. blue lights and see if we can help in some way.
i need a 22 1/2 inch fixture that i bought with a 60 gallon tank. i have 2 push button strips and i need one with a rocker switch due to the size filt
i need a 22 1/2 inch long light fixture that i bought with a 60 gallon tank. i have 2 push button strips and i need one with a rocker switch due to the size filter i am using. the push buttons sticks out too far. 4 1/2 inches wide and black. please keep in mind the push button sticks out to far. model on light sais it is a 24rfh.
We have essentially discontinued our fluorescent fixtures. I would recommend the LED so that you no longer need to worry about the switch interfering. The LED lights have the switch on the end, not the back. The 24-36" light is actually 22.75" long. Just remove the legs for your purpose.
Proper replacement parts for Eclipse PFE 1 aquarium hood
We have ~15 MarineLand aquariums set up in our coastal ecology classroom. Several of the fluorescent light units are beginning to fail (salt water corrosion) and I would like to keep the hoods (with filtration, pump, etc.) but replace the portion that contains the light unit, or alternatively, just change out the light base.
Can the OEM light unit still be purchased? Thanks!
Unfortunately, no. It is no longer available. What you can do is cut the cord, remove the bulb, leave the cover in place, and use the Hidden LED instead. Take a look at the product page for this product. This light has blue and white leds and is suitable for live plants, or as a supplemental light for corals.
Replacement Light Strip for a corner 44 gal aquirium (Model 44P)
The light fully blinks on, then immediately back off - continuously. I have replaced the starter with no luck so I am guessing the ballast is gone. I have had no luck finding a store that has the 18.25" long replacement light and it doesn't appear that it is an option to purchase this type of light direct. Is it still available and I need to find a store that will order for me?
You need the replacement light that fits the 60 Hex, 44 Pent, and 20” full hood. It’s called a 20” Place-A-Light, but it’s really not 20.” It’s the dimension listed in question. Item # is 28201 for the oak and 28202 for the black.
Unfortunately, no, that is totally discontinued and unavailable. You can use the Hidden LED light instead, and insert it into the tank, directly under the top frame. Or you will need to replace everything.
We need help finding replacement parts for the lighting component of our eclipse hood for our 12 by 24 tank. 006673 is the PIN # associated with the part we need. It appears that the part we need attaches to the hood canopy with just 6 screws. Can you help us locate the part we need?
Sounds like you need the lamp base assembly which is discontinued and out of stock, permanently. You may use the Hidden LED light in its place by attaching it to your tank frame and tucking it under the frame.
You simply need to have the same wattage or less, than what is currently in the strip. Look at the bulb as that information will be directly on the bulb. Also, measure the length of the bulb as that will also be the other spec that you need.
I need 2 - Marineland Double Lamp For PFE2 P/N 006673 (says that where the 2 light bulbs go) light fixtures that connects with screws to the canopy. It also says P/N 006672 on the end of the light fixtures.
The lighting fixture (ballast most likely) has gone bad on the hood/lighting unit for my 12-gallon eclipse aquarium. This is an older unit, bought in December 2001 at Petco. It is a fluorescent light, approx. 20" long by 5" wide. Do you know where I can find a replacement/
That is just a 40 watt, size T10, 48" long bulb. We do not sell those direct. If your local store does not have that size in stock, visit a Lowes or Home Depot, in the lighting department. You can also order through www.bulborama.com
I have the 36" double Perfect a Strip that is item #R01955 and I'm wondering if I can use T12 bulbs in it to replace the original T8 bulbs that came with it? Thanks and please let me know as soon as possible.
As long as the pin configuration and the wattage is the same or less, you can use it in the fixture. We have never tried a T12 in the fixture, however, as T5 and T8 are the ones commonly used in the hobby.
I have a 55 gallon rectangular aquarium with a double perfecto recessed hood. Do you have the oak replacement light strip for this hood?
The model # is 24RFH. but the strip measures 22 and 3/4" L x 4 and 1/2" W x 2 and 1/2" H. It has a sticker with an anchor symbol which says "Built by ST Sep 2003. Also this hood has 2 of these light strips, not just one large light strip'
I installed two new bulbs in my Eclipse 2 System. One lights and one does not. Tried two other bulbs with same result. So. it appears that lighting unit is bad. I would like to replace lighting board but cannot find a part number. I wish to avoid having to replace entire hood which would be quite expensive. Is there a part # and how do I order?
Thank you for your inquiry. You need to purchase the Lamp Base Assembly, which would give you the front portion with the starter button, ballast, and all other electrical components for the light. This is item number PR3033. You may purchase it on our site here: http://www.marineland.com/mlstore/L....
