Our tanks have the model printed on the motor and/or back of the light hood. For example, an Eclipse 12 gallon would show PFES12. We sell parts on our site. www.marineland.com

I have an Eclipse hood and need a new bio-wheel

Darn dog ate the BIO-wheel and I need a new one but not sure what size. I don't see any model # anywhere on the hood. The hood is 12"x23.5" and the space the wheel slides into is about 5"x2.5". It takes an H replacement filter. Thanks!

If it takes an H replacement filter then you have the Eclipse 3. You can buy replacement bio wheels on their web site, along with many other web sites. Just google it. The bio wheels are standard sizes with most of their filter systems, you could even measure across where it sits in the hood and go to your local pet store and measure one to match up size and purchase it. Not too complicated.

The light electrical unit on the hood split because of the heat from the lamp, then shorted out. I have had this unit for a few years and do not want to buy a new one. So, I need the hood with the light and electrical unit attached. Please let me know if you carry this part. Thanks. Christina

What kind of light is in your hood? If it's just a bulb, try rotating it a bit to see if it needs to be seated in a little better. If that doesn't work, call our customer care line at 800-322-1266 to get a replacement.

How do I fix a rattling filter motor in the hood?

Hello Jim, need some more information before I can help. Sounds like it might be an impeller issue with the rattling. We don't sell a bow front Eclipse so just want to make sure that it is our tank. The Eclipse tanks pretty much have everything "under the hood" so is just a matter of lifting up the front of the hood. Can you send some more information and I can try to help more specifically? We do not make a T5 light that will work with the 37 Gallon tank, however, we do have a couple of other options. The "Double Bright" LED (item #32991 ) or the Reef Capable LED (item #33001) will fit it. We also have a high output light with a combination of T5, LED and HID bulbs that can be used with this tank, though it will need to be suspended above the aquarium, vs. being placed directly on the frame, due to the center brace in the tank. Also, this hight output light is 36" long, and will extend beyond the end of the tank, but will give you the most light output. The item number for the high output light is 32981.

Dana, the unit has this written on it: "Pump for PFES 12" The hood is definitely Eclipse because it says so on the front. It is bowed in shape, in the front, as is the tank. We bought it about 4 yrs ago. The tank might be 12 gals rather than 26. Thanks.

We don't sell any sort of retro-fit kits for the Eclipse 12. I did a quick search and it looks like there are some products and comments related to doing so. Please see the link below. The other alternative, depending on your lighting needs using a 50/50 bulb.

I assume that you have the Eclipse Seamless Aquarium 3 gallon -- The specific part that you have requested is as follows:

My Eclipse 2 hood is leaking! Help?

I have an Eclipse 2 on my 20 high tank, and have had it for approximately 6 years or so. It has recently begun to leak around the edges. Where it sits on top of the tank, it is not snug, there is a tiny bit of movement, but it has always been the case. I don't know how to correct this - it's drips down the back and sides, occasionally down the front. Help?

Since this is an enclosed canopy system, water will acumulate under the access panel. It's typically not a major issue but sometimes when you open the panel water droplets may drip down and fall off the panel outside the tank. This can become more of an issue if the tank is warm producing even more condensation. If the light is on more than usual as well as having a slightly warmer temperature, try to reduce the lighting and regulate the temperature within a normal range -- typically between 76-80 degrees. You may just have to wipe down the water accumlation under the panel if there is any when it's opened and for the most part it tends to come back less and less overtime.
