Hello, these sumps do not come with any additional equipment including the protein skimmer or pumps. We do have that equipment that has been designed to go with them, please see the attached product pages for reference. Our sumps have been designed to go with certain size tanks and stands. Below are the specs for the tanks that go with each size sump.

Question

looking for Filter pump for PFES 12

My aquarium was purchased at least 5 years ago. It has been great. The pump motor finally gave up this weekend. I am looking to replace it. The plastic piece on the bottom references Filter Pump for PFES 12 120VAC 60Hz 16AMP.

Thanks for your help.

You will need to order the "Filtration Assembly." This is item number PR3440. You can find a local pet store to order it for you, or order online, either right on this site or through one of many online retailers. You might also want to order the impeller, item PR3442. I assume you've taken out your impeller to check for buildup, wear, or obstruction. If not, take it out and drop it in a cup of distilled white vinegar. After a couple of hours, rinse if off well and use a Q-tip inside the hole in the motor where the impeller came out from. Then try it again. This may be all you need to do.

Hello,

The pump is NJ5500. You have an adaptor on your current model that you will need to attach the new pump to your skimmer. Don't throw your old pump out.

I hope you will enjoy your new hobby. You will need a filter, powerhead, heater, lighting, substrate, salt, hydrometer, water testing kit, cleaning supplies & water conditioner. The items that are not required, but are strongly suggested would be a chiller, live rock, glass cover & a protein skimmer.

Thanks.

What size power head do I need for my 46G tropical fish tank. I'd like it to add oxygen to the tank as well as create some current for my fish to swim in.

The Penguin 660 would be plenty for that application in that size tank.
